Pretty easy install, a little more clarification on where to place the template for my truck would be good but I figured it out. Installed an extra valve just outside the tailgate about 18” so I could close the system in case of tailgate removal. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was the price. When I was searching for the extra valves on Amazon I came across all the parts needed to do it except the nozzle and template, so really you’re paying for those 2 things. USD to CAD plus $28 shipping came to $175 CAD so a tad pricey but worth it for me. You could do it for cheaper if you ordered the parts from Amazon but it’s the guessing game of where to place a nozzle to hit the camera. Having to get out of my truck to clean a camera 20 times in a 12 hour shift really sucks and adds injury potential in Canadian winters so again it’s worth having it. Read more

The back washer install was going good until you get to the white nut part that goes on the rear squirter. No room on mine to hold it tight. Maybe wormed out the hole some to move it some? I just screwed it into to hole without the nut on it. I didn't have much room for water line if I left it screwed on also. Took me a few tries to fish the line in the frame and pick a hole to use. I did it in two parts. I also fished the line up to the same spot as the original washer line comes up. You don't show any of that install part. It works great! A lot of water comes out. I may throttle the on/off valve some. What is the big/fat o ring supplied for? Read more

I have a 23 Ford Maverick but I wasn't able to purchase the Maverick camera cleaner. So I purchased the Ford Ranger instead and I made it work. I used PVC Flex able conduit for underneath and I tie wrapped it up over the guard shield. The Ford emblem was a little different but I made it work. A lot of dusty dirt roads and constantly have to back up to hook up two trailers or too parking locations Product works and I very much appreciate that the problem is when the vehicle is at an angle where the rear of the vehicle is much lower than the front windshield wiper fluid will just leak out all over the tailgate and drain the washer fluid tank Or if I’m loading stuff in and I put the tailgate down, it’ll start to leak profusely and drain the washer fluid tank I suggested solution would be great. I am able to clean my camera without getting out so that’s a plus but I’m definitely going through about a gallon of washer fluid week. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Read more

Running fish tape through the frame is next to impossible not to mention if you do manage to get it to the back there isn’t very good access to retrieve the head of the tape. Overall install was ok and the video was helpful but there were two issues. One is the installation guide says to enlarge an existing mounti... Overall install was ok and the video was helpful but there were two issues. One is the installation guide says to enlarge an existing mounting hole and cut out part of the trim. That was a bit too destructive, in my opinion, so I routed it via the hole the harness for the buttons runs through and sealed it with electrical tape and RTV Silicone to make it watertight. Second is the video doesn't show how to mount the sprayer to the camera. So if you make it so flush/level with underside of the camera and pushed back to align with the bump on the camera (where it appears to fit correctly), it sits too far forward (which is where mine is) and most of the spray misses the camera. Where is needs to be back further and on a slight angle. I'm kinda SOL as it's epoxyed to the camera now. Read more

The only challenge is running the line from the undercarriage drain to the rear of the truck. You don’t have to figure out the positioning at all—just drill according to the template. It took me a bit longer to install than I would have liked (about 4 hours total). I did run the line through the truck’s frame. The installation on my 2022 Silverado 1500 multi-flex tailgate was a little different than the instructional video (they must have changed the design of the camera housing). I did figure it out- but needed to shave a little more material away from the camera housing for the rubber hose and drill through another layer of camera mounting. The inside of the multi-flex inner tailgate had a slightly different panel mount than the instruction video. Everything now works great. Read more

Doesn't quite work for my 2024 Ford Ranger when it comes to routing the hose from front of truck frame as your demolition. I happened to have a plumbing snake that's long enough to use. So I followed video up to turning front wheels in so as to give me better access to the small hole in frame at front passenger side. I feed the plumbing snake in the hole towards the back of truck and when you get to the rear back wheel, something stops the plumbing snake from continuing. I also went from back of truck to the front in the frame and again in same area cannot get the plumbing snake to continue through in same area. So I got a idea where I would take the snake out of frame through a hole in frame just before said area, tuck it in around the shock tower and back in another hole to continue to back of truck and then in lift gate as video demonstrates. The materials are high quality and work great. They only lost a star because the 2024 Explorer is different from the past Gen 6. The tail gate is different, the screws are more and in different places and the area they wanted to have the nozzle attached has very little space inside to attach everything. Using the included equipment, I had to remove plastic from the inside camera mount in order to make sure the nozzle was seated correctly. So, maybe new instructions and or new parts might be needed. I have worked on cars for years so a non-seasoned person may not have gone to all the steps I did to make this work. Read more

The product is great and while the price is high for some plastic tubing, a nozzle, and a template I still felt the value in it being packag... The product is great and while the price is high for some plastic tubing, a nozzle, and a template I still felt the value in it being packaged up. The link to the Cybertruck video isn't working (1/2 star for that) but there are a couple owner install videos you can watch. The install itself is not hard at all. My one issue I ran across is the nozzle is not adjustable. I suspect that not all CT tailgates have the stainless still folded to the same degree. Even though I drilled exactly at the template marking and it was flush (I filed down any burrs), when I installed the nozzle, it just sprayed out into the air, barely getting any on the camera. I had to force the nozzle to bend it up just enough to get it to spray onto the camera. It works fine now though and I likely will try to shim it to get it just right. Also, it seems like way too much washer fluid sprays out. That isn't ClarVu's problem because it is what the Tesla washer pump puts out. I just added an inline sprinkler drip system adjustable valve inline behind the frunk and turned it to about 50%. One of those black ones from HD or Ace. The barbed ends fit perfectly into the tubing ClearVu provides. Overall, I'm very happy with the system and would recommend it. Read more
